    Discover the diversity of Vancouver’s culinary culture at a one day tasting extravaganza: Citytv’s Taste of the City, taking place on Saturday, September 20th, 2003 at the Plaza of Nations, from noon till 10 PM.

    Citytv brings to the Plaza of Nations Main Stage Simi Sara’s acclaimed City Cooks Show.  Joining Simi live on stage will be Breakfast Television co-hosts Fiona Forbes and Michael Eckford and CityPulse Newsteam members. Together they will host a continuous line-up of Vancouver’s great restaurant chefs demonstrating the preparation of some of their favourite and exotic menu creations.

    Come and watch chefs Rob Feenie, Krisha Jamal, Robert Clark, Rick Takhar, Gord Martin, Memphis Mike, Chad Minton and others, but best of all sample the unique culinary offerings of their restaurants: Ashiana Tandoori, Big Al’s, Bin 941/942, C Restaurant, Dem Bones, Ebi Ten, Feenies, Handi Cuisine of India, Hot Dog Jonny’s, Kanata School, Kelseys, Maurya, Memphis Mike’s Bbq, Mosaic Bar & Grille, Nice’N’Spicy Reggae Cafe, Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, Pasta Etc. Bistro, Rubina Tandoori, Sala Thai Restaurant, Soupspoons Urban Soup Bar, Surrey Aboriginal Cultural Society, Taverna Gorgona and Tropika Malaysia & Thai Cuisine

    A full day of FREE cooking demonstrations (no admission fee) with the Citytv gang, and endless feasting for a mere 50 cents to $3 per sample size portion.  It’s your chance to Taste The City!
