Tosi and Company

About every other weekend, Barb and I go shopping in Chinatown for
Asian ingredients. On one of our trips, Barb introduced me to
Tosi and Company (624 Main), one of the last remaining Italian businesses in Chinatown and a hidden jewel.
The shop is like a time machine as so wonderfully described in this article in the Vancouver Courier
but happily the food is not. It's the real thing: excellent
Italian pasta, cheese and meat at good prices. And yes the
service can be eccentric and gruff but somehow it's endearing rather
than annoying. Highly recommended especially if you are looking for
Italian supplies and you don't want to make the trek to Burnaby or
Commercial Drive.
