    Mini-Review: Nat's New York Pizzeria

Posted by Roland Tanglao, 8/20/03 at 11:01:17 PM.

We love Nat's New York Style pizzeria but have only managed to eat their pizza twice because there are so so many other great places to eat here in Vancouver (it's tough to be food writers in this city :-) !)

The first time was during a Canuck's playoff game (we ordered a takeout pie) and the second time was last week.

The star of Nat's show is definitely the pizza. It is the real thing. Thin crust New York Style. Not too much sauce, not too much cheese, a beautiful thin crust, yummy.

The room in Kits (we haven't been to the Denman location) is decorated with lots of New York memorabilia in a funky, "in your face but nice" New York kind of way.

You can get pizza by the slice ranging from $2.10 to $3 a slice. On our second visit, our party had three slices of pizza, two soft rinks and a large caesar ($5.95) for about $20 including taxes.

There's lots of other Italian items like pasta available but we haven't tried them because we enjoy the pizza so much.

We'll definitely be back sooner rather than later! See you there!

    Nat's New York Pizzeria, 2684 West Broadway 604 737 0707 and 1080 Denman 604 642-0777
