Out To Eat San Francisco 2002

We found the information in this book to be well organized (by neighbourhood and indexed by the following categories: price, ambiance, late night, vegetarian, child-friendly and wheelchair access). And if you are in a hurry, each neighboorhood section has a "best of" section which helps you narrow down the choices. This is a great idea which other restaurant guidebooks should adopt!
We triangulated the restaurant and food reviews in this book with the opinions of our San Francisco friends and recommendations from our many helpful readers and we found the restaurant reviews to be very accurate. The only inaccuracy we found was that the book implies that the Alemany Farmers' Market is open every day. We went on a weekday and it was closed! Should have done our research! It's only open on Saturdays!
The only room for improvement would be to have a new edition every year and a weblog (like VanEats) with updates between editions. I think every guidebook or any book with information that changes quickly, needs a weblog to document changes between editions.
