Chunky Fudge Brownies

2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup flour
3 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
3 oz. white chocolate, chopped
1 1/2 cups pecans, coarsely chopped and toasted
Grease and flour an 8” square baking pan.
Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter, stirring occasionally. Cool.
In large bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla. Fold in melted chocolate, stirring lightly.
Fold in flour.
Add chopped bittersweet and white chocolates and pecans. Stir just until blended.
Pour into pan and smooth top.
Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes or until centre is barely set—don’t over cook!
Cool before cutting.
Makes 12 super decadent brownies
**sometimes I’ll vary the nuts and type of chocolate, depending on what I have on hand.
**this also tastes great with a handful of dried sour cherries
