| First Visit: Great China Hotpot |
Posted by Roland Tanglao on 12/17/04; 11:56:28 PM
From the Restaurants dept.

Great China Hotpot (2780 Kingsway, 604 435-1258) is not nearly as fancy as the Grand Honour Hot Pot
and not nearly as big, but the food is tasty and very cheap (all you
can eat is $13.98). On our visit, we had a plain broth and my
favourite, the peppery pork belly broth and we found that the meats and
fresh vegetables were delicious. We only wish the noodles and the dried
tofu were as tasty! But at this price, you can't really complain.
I hope to be back soon for a mini-review.
In the meantime, check out my Great China Hotpot Flickr set
for some fun photos of what we ate and to get a sense of how a Chinese
fondue aka Hot Pot works for those of you who are new to it.
