From the Features dept.
I had a brief but very enjoyable chat (thanks!) with the friendly and cool Jim Pearce, head honcho of the Slow Food Vancouver convivium and learned lots of things: - Slow Food Events are open to all, even non members.
- The Vancouver Slow Food Convivium is the biggest in Canada.
- Spawn on Kelp is an West Coast aboriginal delicacy that is is being preserved by the Arc of Taste movement which is also attempting to preserve Red Fife wheat.
