Speaking of real tomatoes, such as the heirloom tomatoes from yesterday's post, the Tomato Festival starts next Wednesday September 8th at the Nat Bailey Farmers' Market and continues Saturday September 11th (8 days from now) at the East Van and West End Farmers' Markets. Check it out. Lots of delicious tomatoes and information and a great opportunity to chat with real farmers about food that tastes real such as locally grown heirloom tomatoes!
