I didn't see Samosa Garden (EDITOR's NOTE: the website doesn't appear to be working at the time of writing!) anywhere on your VanEats review list, but you must try it. It's on Kingsway, near the Burnaby border, inside the Circle Square mini-mall, but it's well worth the trip.It is an Indian restaurant run by two brothers from Uganda (I think—perhaps Kenya), and they have an unusual and fabulous take on Indian food, as well as a more African-style decor than other Indian restaurants.
It's a fairly large place, and is often busy, because the food is extremely good. (Last night, for a Saturday Valentine's Day special, they had a couple's meal for $35, and were absolutely packed to the rafters, even at 9 p.m.) I particularly recommend the karai lamb, beef, or chicken. The butter chicken is also, so far, the best I've found in the city, as is the naan bread, which besides being yummy, is HUGE.
Anyway, worth checking out when you get the chance. It's a tad more expensive than you might expect if you order from the main menu, but worth every penny. The weekday takeout specials (from 1 to 5 p.m.) and the ever-changing buffet (usually mostly vegetarian) are a steal, however.
Please let me know if you have reviewed it and I somehow missed that. :)
