WiFi and Coffee - Trees Coffee, Take5Cafe and Coo Coo
Posted by Roland Tanglao on 11/24/03; 11:52:42 PM
    From the Features dept.

Looking for free internet access with your coffee downtown? Free WiFi Internet Access and coffee can be found  at both Trees Coffee and Take 5 Cafe.  Both are diagonally opposite each other just south of Hastings on Granville (Trees is on the east side of the street and Take 5 is on the west side) and both are good.  Trees is more informal and has some port restrictions on its free WiFi while Take 5 Cafe has food from Caffe de Medici, free power (and ethernet jacks if you don't have WiFi!) and has a more trendy but still cozy ambiance.  Check them out!

Finally,  I am told that Coo Coo (477 Davie, 604 605 0938)  has the best coffee (check out their short and creamy Illy espresso!) in  Vancouver.  It also has WiFi but alas Coo Coo's WiFi is not free.  I am not a big coffee drinker and I can't afford to pay for my WiFi but every so often I do crave a good espresso like the ones I had in Italy.  So I will have to check out Coo Coo soon.

Got a favourite cafe with WiFi and good coffee? Please leave a comment and we'll check it out.
