Way back in June we speculated about the Salty Tongue Urban Deli (213 Carrall Street, 604 915-7258).
It's been open for eight weeks. How did I miss it?
I spoke briefly with one of the owners and she talked about their
neighbourhood focused approach. Right now they are bringing in
cheese from Les Amis du Fromage as well as bread from other local
suppliers and they are serving deli sandwiches.
But as the neighbourhood evolves, they will change their approach and
what they stock to suit. They get a lot of locals as well as
tourists and the lunch crowd.
Can't wait to check it out and write a first visit report.
