Adventures in Eating in Chinatown with John Atkin
Posted by Roland Tanglao on 8/31/02; 11:40:10 PM
    From the Features dept.

We recently had the opportunity to go on John Atkin's Jade Peony tour. It was wonderful! John is a veritable encyclopedia of information and is an authority on Vancouver history; including that of Chinatown and the adjoining neighbourhood, Strathcona.

So were pleased to hear that John will be giving an Adventures in Eating tour in Chinatown featuring the history of Chinatown restaurants at Foo's Hoo Hoo (one of the last of the historical Chinatown restaurants) with a delicious Cantonese insider menu.

WHAT: Adventures in Eating: Chinatown and the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival
    WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002. 5pm
WHERE: Foo's Ho Ho 102 East Pender Street
HOW MUCH: $98 per person (maximum 50) from Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden at 578 Carrall Street or by calling them at 604 662 3207. Includes all taxes, exclusive Cantonese "insider" menu, same day admission to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Garden, souvenir menus, a gift, Mid Autumn Moon Festival presentation, talks about historical Chinatown restaurants and more!
