Anne Garber, of MyBC and CBC fame, sent us an email about her new site, Evalu8.org. Thanks, Anne!
This site covers a lot of ground including a large number of food related topics. Here are some selected food-related portions of the site: recipes, Vancouver restaurant reviews (such as Anne's review of Lumiere) and the online version of the Canadian food magazine, Food and Drink which includes columns by excellent food writers such as Cy Jamison, Stephanie Yuen and Nathan Fong.
I love the site and will be checking it regularly. My wishlist for the site: meaningful URLs (instead of www.evalu8.org/browse/304 for Cy Jamison how about www.evalu8.org/browse/cy.jamison) and to have the what's new page in a weblog format (the current what's new page is nice but it is not organized by date and there are no permalinks so it's hard to figure out what's changed since the last time I've been to the site and to link to new items ). I know these things can be done because VanEats has both permalinks and a weblog format. Anne, I am available for contract work if you need help :-)
All in all, these are minor quibbles! Check out the site, you'll like it!
