    Uli's Famous Sausage in Seattle
Posted by Roland Tanglao on 8/5/01; 11:56:52 PM
    From the Seattle dept.

This weekend we went to Seattle to dance at the Century Ballroom (where The Swing Session played) and at the Mountaineers' Club (where Lily Wilde played) both of which were organized as part of the dance events for this year's Seattle Lindy Exchange.

Both bands were great! In between, we went down to Pike Place Market with our friends Steve and Denise and picked up some of Uli's Famous Sausage (1511 Pike Place Market, telephone 206 839 1000).

Uli's sausage is awesome! It reminded me of Germany! This make sense since Uli is German and was trained there in the fine art of sausage making. We BBQ'ed the sausages and because there were 5 of us, we tried out a wide variety. My favourite was the Cajun Andouile (spicy and just right) that Barb picked but the other kinds that we picked (including the unusual Salmon sausage) were all tasty! They also have grilled chicken and other German and grilled specialities if you don't want just sausage. Highly recommended!
